Victoria Chicken

If ever there was a sweet chicken with an inquisitive personality, it would be Victoria - she loved to be carried under your arm, and she was always the first one to greet you when it was feeding time.

Its amazing how even a chicken can bond with you - she fed us for many years (she was an excellent egg producer - I estimate she laid over 1,000 eggs in her lifetime), and was a lot of fun, I guess as much fun as a chicken can be. It was nice to put my finger in her feathers on her neck and scratch her head and watch her close her eyes because she liked it so much. She was very gentle and well behaved.

We will miss her, she lived a good long life!
